PART 1 - LOST IN THE JUNGLE
Part I - As the name suggests, the excerpt is an amazing experience of the writer where Kiran Purandare, the solitary traveller, is completely lost in the jungles of Umbarzara. He narrates how he lost his way at the fall of the dusk and the terrifying turmoil he underwent thereafter. Shouting for help would literally mean ‘crying in the wilderness’. He also gives a detailed description of how he found his way towards the Pitezari.

1) Narrate in your class any of the incidents of your
life when you were extremely terrified or awestruck.
I was
walking outside of the airport. I was busy in texting my friends. My friend was
with me and he was telling numerous incidents about airplane crashes. So, I was
keen on listening to that at the same time I am busy with texting people over
social media. Suddenly "we heard a loud" noise, it was an aero plane
that flew aiming towards us. We don't know what to do. I recollected the
airplane crashes my friend was saying to me. So we were terrified with fear. It
came much closer to us. At the last moment, we realised it is landing in the
airport. I learned one thing that airplanes will never crash in an airport.
